A very important compilation of Cebu 90s music scene. Few of the bands/artists featured on this CD would go on to record an album, others would fade into obscurity, and some would return to the industry while influencing newer artists many years later. Garnering minimal success and radio airplays courtesy of Y101 FM, this compilation is cherished by Cebuanos — those who had been part of that special era (Local Ground) in the late 80s and early 90s.
This is the 14-track CD version (digital) released in 1992 under Alpha Music Corporation. There is also an original 10-track cassette tape of Mango Jam, along with other separate compilations: New Cebu Music Vol. 1 & New Cebu Music Vol. 2 — all of which are now extremely rare.
