Ugnayan (music for 20 radio stations) was an ambitious production backed by the Marcos regime intended to meld values of indigenous Filipino culture with modernist aesthetics. Maceda initially had a different name for this project and wanted to call it ’Atmospheres,’ but this was changed by The First Lady to ’Ugnayan’ which means ”working together.”
