Inspired by their favorite 90s bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Radiohead as well as local legends Cocojam, Spy, Pinikpikan, and Jun Lopito, Dirty Kitchen would release their self-produced and self-titled album in 2005 with Nick Formoso on drums, Joel Alagao on lead guitars and BJ Villanueva on bass. The band’s debut is an impressive mix of loud, quiet, funky, bluesy, alt rock that rarely gets heavy and puts the listener in a calm room with plenty of air to breathe.
