Eleanor Academia is a Filipino-American musician/recording artist known for her fusion of pop and rock with traditional folk elements. She is a recognized master of Kulintang, ancient gong and drum music of the Southern Philippines. She wrote, arranged and produced two critically acclaimed albums: Jungle Wave (1987) and Global Conversations (1992) under Columbia Records and Epic/Sony Records, before launching her own independent label Black Swan Records.
